Prepare matching exports
Choose two files that cover the same books.
Match the books
Use the same company or owner and the same property or activity in both files: your Buildium or AppFolio books, and the QuickBooks Online file that holds those same books.
Match the basis and dates
Pick one accounting basis and comparable dates, such as one month, and use them in both reports. Note the basis; you’ll confirm it in Berean.
Export as CSV
Export the General Ledger report as a CSV from Buildium or AppFolio, and from QuickBooks Online. Menu names can vary by plan. Berean currently works with US-dollar ledgers only.
Keep the exports unchanged
Use the files exactly as exported. Re-saving them in a spreadsheet can change dates and amounts. When ready, open Ledgers to add your files.
